Near Kahibah Oval. The two limits of our vision side by side. Wonderful.

Adamstown railway gates

Late night wait. Newcastle has several such crossings. Developers & others wanting to get rid of the heavy rail corridor often cite these as a major justification. The pert me up see the railway as a clean & efficient link between the vast network of suburbs & towns, & the city & beaches.

Slept like a log - true!

Noxious weed

Planted years ago in bushland by a well-meaning local bloke. Who could blame him?

The Jungle Kings. Wallsend Sporties, nee Bowling Club (other dancer out of shot)

On a friday night that started stormy. A lively but small crowd. Certainly a massive anti-climax after the full dance floor & world class jiving (well Southern hemisphere anyway) at the 'sixteen footers' last Saturday night.

Bride & bestie(?) who seemed 2 be more serious about her part inthe wedding than the breeze-battling bride.

Bridesmaid, or matron of honour, gave your fresh-from-surf, windswept, barefoot photoblogger a deathie,(death stare) of Thatcheresque savagery. So i told bride, Simone? that she looked fantastic. Matron of hon. seemed to assume i was referring to HER, or at least both of them. So she was REALLY cross when Simone, our lovely bride, blithely smiled & tossed me a 'Thanks'. O, the chagrin!

Taking the plunge

Bar Beach, Newcastle. Note men's beers - now de rigueur at all stages of weddings except church service, when bottle is kept in a suitable pocket.
